The Ogbonnas having Real Fun

29 June 2020 Author :

Ọha na Eze Ndewonu. Unu abịa. Nno nu.  Good evening ladies and gentlemen. You’re welcome to this Happy Event to thank God for sparing Nnenna Ogbonna’s life from a ghastly accident that totaled her vehicle on November 3, 2018. Also to thank God for my worthwhile 68 years plus on planet earth!

I am Mazi Ogbonnna from Ovim, Isuikwuator, Abia State Nigeria. Nnenna Ogbonna (nee Okorie), from Ahaba, Imenyi, Isukwuator  and I have been married for 32 years. God blessed us with three awesome sons, Mazi, Ikechukwu, Uchechi and two adorable grandsons, Ezekiel and Dominick Ogbonna.

Nnenna Ogbonna obtained her A levels and BS degree in Pharmacology in London, England.  Upon hearing about her  great academic and moral attributes from a close confidant, her first cousin  Chief Kismet Okorie Onyeforo, I stormed “Queen’s Country” with my BEST behavior bagged from Methodist College, Uzuakoli. After,  uphill climbs, I succeed  to convince her to complete my life’s  circuitry. Thus her transplant from England to the US. Here,  she tripled  as a wife, a mother and a student to earn a Pharmacy degree. She currently works as a Registered Pharmacist at Bellevue hospital, Manhattan, NY.

Unequivocally ,  since Nnenna became part of me, my life’s sinusoidal waves have transformed into ‘Siriri werere”. Honestly, our marriage has been  fueled by Nnenna’s daily tonic and portion of love, kindness, wisdom, compassion and support to transform me from  “Saul to Paul”. I count myself lucky to have a “Moral, Social and Economic” GPS like Nnenna Ogbonna as a wife.

Nnenna Ogbonna is  very tenacious. But underneath that tenacity, is an overflow of kindness, compassion and love for her immediate  family , relatives and friends. She’s God fearing and navigates  hurdles to serve  God for humanity sake. Her colleagues from  Presbyterian Church, Queens; Obinwanne Prayer Group and Sisters Fellowship International (SFI) can attest to her steadfast commitment for excellence, peace and unity.

Ndigbo, friends and well wishers, please help me thank this wonderful wife of mine for all she has been doing for my entire family both home and abroad.

Today’s event is a better party for my family considering what could have happened a year ago. My entire family once more thanks you all immensely for coming. We extend our special thanks to all  those that contributed in cash and kind towards the success of this occasion. We wish you many happy days and important milestones ahead. Nothing we give you today will approximate your individual comfort zones. But we are just happy to be considered your relatives or  friends.

May God bless you all to  go home peacefully and safely.  Please, fasten your seat belts for our FUN RIDE. Let the Party begin!!!

Ndigbo Kwenu! Igbo Kwenu!! Kwezue Nu!!! Igbo Ga-adi!!!! Ya Gazie!!!!!
