In terms of looks, it is hard to distinguish an Igbo on the basis of looks alone. But one acceptance is that Ndigbo are generally considered nice looking. Many stretch it that their men stand out as handsome while their females are stunningly beautiful (Asamkpete nwaanyị ọma or omalicha ụmụ nwaanyị).

Most recently, in a private conversation with a politician who has been out of political favour for a while, he told me that what he misses a lot is the use of siren blaring escort vehicles(SBEV) when he moves about town. No culture comes close to Igbo women who are also  moral GPS for each family as conservative and religiously endowed wives and mothers juggling parenthood with economic terrains for  family stability and growth. Igbo women are high achievers and it is no stretch to conclude no females of any culture comes  close second to them.

Ndigbo  find their home in the rich and fertile crescent created by the lower Niger River mostly within the South-East and parts of South-West and South- South geo-political zones of Nigeria. Their population is  presently estimated to lie between  40-55 million people around the globe. The Igbo homelands are probably one of the most densely populated regions in Africa.
